About Me
As a UX and Conversation Designer with 15 years of experience, I focus on bringing efficiency and simplicity to complex user problems. My design philosophy remains the same whether I am building for a screen or an open-ended voice agent: even the most complex scenarios deserve a simple, delightful solution.
My background in Psychology anchors my work. I center my process on the human beings on the other side of the technology focusing on their goals, their capabilities, their context, and their problems. Because I am an efficiency nerd at heart, I am always looking at what works (and what doesn't) in the world around me. I love creating and improving reliable systems for myself, my teams, and my users, often pulling inspiration from unexpected places.
Outside of Work
When I step away from the keyboard, my design-thinking translates into wrangling my busy family life. I’m a mom of two young children that keep me on my toes. My husband, a science teacher, and I spend our time finding the next adventure to take our kids on in the Bay Area.
To unplug and recharge, I trade digital interfaces for tactile ones. I am an avid crafter, and you can usually find me quilting, crocheting, or diving into a new creative hobby.
My Experience
SAP - AI Experiences
Today I am a Sr Conversation Designer at SAP defining how Joule helps our customers solve real world problems to move their businesses forward. I work on the Model Behavior Squad, working directly with the teams building the future of AI at SAP.
Amazon Alexa, 2019 - 2026
At Alexa I worked across several teams and features to help improve the lives of users. From award winning assistive tech and helping families feel safer, to exploring the future of agentic systems, my projects had real world impact on Alexa users.
GEICO, 2012 - 2018
My time at GEICO taught me the importance of data driven design and working closely with product and engineering teams to get the right solution for our users. Insurance is complicated and can be hard to understand. I learned how to untangle complicated situations and design with empathy.
St. Mary’s College of Maryland, 2007-2012
I started out as a student working at the web department part time and then started full time after graduation. It was this job where I learned I could combine my passion for psychology and interest in technology to improve the lives of users in a meaningful way.
